White House Petition: Make Lawmakers Wear Logos Of Financial Backers On Clothing, Like In NASCAR

A recent petition was posted on the U.S government website that letsAmerican citizens post petitions.

Since most politicians' campaigns are largely funded by wealthy companies and individuals, it would give voters a better sense of who the candidate they are voting for is actually representing if the company's logo, or individual's name, was prominently displayed upon the candidate's clothing at all public appearances and campaign events. Once elected, the candidate would be required to continue to wear those "sponsor's" [sic] names during all official duties and visits to constituents. The size of a logo or name would vary with the size of a donation. For example, a $1 million dollar contribution would warrant a patch of about 4" by 8" on the chest, while a free meal from a lobbyist would be represented by a quarter-sized button. Individual donations under $1000 are exempt.

Powerball and the New Jersey Lottery say on their online sites that one winning ticket was sold in New Jersey for Saturday night’s $338.3 million Powerball jackpot.

Neither agency provided details of exactly when or where the winning ticket was sold in announcing on their websites that one ticket was sold for winning numbers: 17, 29, 31, 52, 53 and Powerball 31.

Powerball’s website said that as of Sunday, the current estimated jackpot was $40 million, or a $25 million cash value. Telephone messages left with the New Jersey Lottery by The Associated Press seeking more details about the ticket were not immediately returned.

Lottery officials say the jackpot entering Saturday night’s drawing was the sixth highest in history. The Powerball jackpot was last won in early February.

4.5 million dollar school budget raise- and everyone is silent-especially the School Board

Three years ago the LAC comprised of Seitler Zlatkin and Fink ran on a slogan of "no higher taxes". Remember those signs in the ground 3 years back?

For years they ran around saying how they were cutting the budget, which they did in first year by hurting families with special needs children and conducting meetings in an impolite manner. Now to add insult to injury the average homeowner will have to pay $300 more this year in property taxes. Even worse now that they changed the election day to November the town can't even vote the budget down.

Look at one of the clips in which they claim that they won't raise taxes.
And now they are trying to pass this new  budget with a 4.5 million dollar increase without saying a word. How come no other media outlet is talking about this?

In the next election we new board members that will do what is right, be fiscally responsible, and tell us the truth.

Open Forum Regarding Recent Gov. Chris Christie Lakewood Visit

3/20/2013

It's interesting that these people are the so called " orthodox leaders " who can " deliver votes". The people in Lakewood with brains who can think for themselves voted for Christie for his first term even though the lakewood vaad said to vote for Corzine. Even though corzine was for gay marriage, the vaad was willing to compromose their morals becaue Corzine was best for more government subsidies and handouts. That's not leadership. While I do think that we should have leaders, I don't think we have a very good process in place for determining who should be or is our leader. It certainly isn't the Lakewood vaad or the self appointed heads of Mosdos. I think people should start thinking for themselves. They may find getting in touch with what they really beleive and their own inner truth interesting.

To: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney
From: Tomas Young

I write this letter on the 10th anniversary of the Iraq War on behalf of my fellow Iraq War veterans. I write this letter on behalf of the 4,488 soldiers and Marines who died in Iraq. I write this letter on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of veterans who have been wounded and on behalf of those whose wounds, physical and psychological, have destroyed their lives. I am one of those gravely wounded. I was paralyzed in an insurgent ambush in 2004 in Sadr City. My life is coming to an end. I am living under hospice care.

Hammering away at his oft-repeated theme of fiscal responsibility, Gov. Chris Christie told an audience of Lakewood seniors today that the practice of public officials banking sick time and then receiving large lump-sum payouts when they retire will cost New Jersey taxpayers $1 billion dollars. He spoke at The Fairways at Lake Ridge Clubhouse in Lakewood.

In New Jersey, you have to be paid for not getting sick, the governor said.
