4.5 million dollar school budget raise- and everyone is silent-especially the School Board

Three years ago the LAC comprised of Seitler Zlatkin and Fink ran on a slogan of "no higher taxes". Remember those signs in the ground 3 years back?

For years they ran around saying how they were cutting the budget, which they did in first year by hurting families with special needs children and conducting meetings in an impolite manner. Now to add insult to injury the average homeowner will have to pay $300 more this year in property taxes. Even worse now that they changed the election day to November the town can't even vote the budget down.

Look at one of the clips in which they claim that they won't raise taxes.

And now they are trying to pass this new budget with a 4.5 million dollar increase without saying a word. How come no other media outlet is talking about this?

In the next election we new board members that will do what is right, be fiscally responsible, and tell us the truth.

If we still had Michael this would not have happened. They lost in every way by getting rid of him. They turned the place into a pig house. No wonder he declined their many offers to hire him back. If you look at the public books, you can see how much cheaper he was then this new pathetic firm. This new board is such a terrible chillul Hashem. I hope we can vote them all out and bring in more respectful and sane members.

The only Chilul Hashem that anyone can recall is Michael I. shouting at Carl Fink in public in a very disrespectful Manner saying "your pissing me off"

The only real thing left to do is trace your IP address, find out whether you are indeed employed by the BOE and sent you a Rice notice, and then the BOE will no longer be a "pig house"

Perhaps if all those fake "houses of worship" and "schools" were made to pay their taxes instead of passing the bill on to the honest taxpayers the budget would not have to go up. Ever notice that TLS and Lakewood Township web site is Duvys Media which is located in the industrial park in a TAX EXEMPT building?

Maby do some reasech before writing down your two cents .the building that houses duvys is a school by the name of bnos bais yaackov which has a few hundred students they rent out some of thier unused space to duvy so whats the issue ?

Seitler is a disgusting despicable person. Shame on him and i feel bad for the new guy who got on there this year, i forgot his name, he actually seems like someone who is trying to do the right thing. I think his name is joel or something like that.

Larry, If your making such a statement you must know something about him that he is doing that is corrupt. can you elaborate? Because he is in the same neighborhood and shul doe snot make him corrupt.

I would love to hear what he has done that is corrupt.

Remember one thing, he was elected to this position, not selected and given this position.

@Anon, His name is Joel Schwartz, and yes he is a good guy. Honest and straight shooter. He is the best thing that could have happened to the BOE.

@larry, you sound like a bitter man just like HH. do you have some proof that he is corrupt? or are you saying this just because the guy lives in the same area and davens in the same shul.

I would love to know who your neighbors are, maybe if there is a pedophile in your neighborhood or shul, that would make you one too?

when I read about all the very questionable ,immoral and devious things that take place in this town I have to wonder if anyone that is involved in politics or any of the governing bodies really believe in GOD or just the almighty $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Next election when Chesky gives his Dvar Torah on why he's such an amazing person and how he has try to help the klal. Please don't forget all the members of out town who were hurt by him, be it with higher taxes special education or loosing of a job. Its time for our Rabbis to stand up and openly say it how it is this man is a Rasha

Joel Schwartz went on to the school board with the best intentions. He had no control over this tax raise, and he is doing all he can to prevent such irresponsible actions in the future. As for the LAC guys. They went in on the promise of lowering taxes. That never happened. What did happen was much chillul hashem and hurting children with special needs. They will say the taxes would have been higher. That is not going to wash this time. We need substantive changes in the school system which they will never have the ability to implement because they represent their own special interests.

Mr Schwartz voted this year to higher taxes please get the facts straight, I applaud for his intentions but by us voters actions speak.

Joel is getting frustrated that his ideas aren't being listened to. He tried many different ways to make changes that would save money but has very little cooperation from those who need to work with him.

He gives up his free time to try to help because he gives a darn but nobody works with him.
