After a recent one cent stamp increase, the US Postal Service announced that starting in August it would no longer deliver mail to homes or businesses on Saturday.
While post office boxes will still receive mail, homes will have two days each week with no delivery. For those that often receive check payments in the mail this could become quite an inconvenience. Many banks are open on Sunday and a check that could have been deposited first thing Monday morning would have to wait until Tuesday. This could be the beginning of the end of physical mail and checks. Look on the bright side, no more junk mail.
