Another Injured in Tent City Fire

Once again another person was seriously injured in Lakewoods Tent City.

The man was taken by helicopter to a local burn unit. No word on his condition.

This latest incident can once again be blamed on the inability for our town leaders to sit down and negotiate with those iin charge of the homeless camp. If we continue to rely on lawyers to take care of the problem, or hope that our police and fire Marshall can do anything, people will die, and nearby residents will be very frustrated.

The time has come to sit down and discuss the options for the homeless camp.

What would you do hh? There is no 'negotiating'. Most are mentally ill. If you want them removed it would have to be done forcibly. A judge ruled against it. Stop using unfortunate situations as a trolling platform. It is old and tired.

We need to negotiate with reverend Steve. He is a very smart and shrewd man. We can't go ahead with any plans without knowing what he wants first. If it was as simple as a few mentally disturbed people, we could give them over to social services. It is much more than that. And the whole country is watching

The fire that occurred on the date of this posting did not occur at lakewood's Tent City. The Man, Willie Dorsey, lives behind the gas station on the same road, a ways down. He refuses any help offered and habitually drinks while lighting fires in his poorly constructed shanty. There have been fires at tent city but seeing this false story here and other locations around the internet used as soap box against my father Minister Brigham troubles me deeply. Please research things before calling them news.

This report was taken from the app and other news reports. It's a shame that there is no dialogue to try to find a solution to the homeless problem.
