How "Askonim" Hurt Kolko

It has almost been a month since Yosef Kolko pled guilty to assault charges after two accusers came forward. He was immediately taken into custody to face a sentence of fifteen years and sent to Ocean County Jail.

Only days before Shavuos(Jewish holiday) Yosef Kolko was no longer allowed to return home to settle his affairs. Two self appointed youn "askonim" decided that he needed their help. They called ocean county jail warden Theodore Hutler and made demands on behalf of the new inmate. They made so many demands that the warden did not want to be bothered anymore and transfered Kolko to Burlington County prison on the second day of Shavuos.

Burlington County prison is a high security prison that has a larger population of violent criminals. It was necessary ton place Kolko in solitary confinement for his own protection.

While we are not judging what the correct punishment should be for the crime committed, Kolko should no have to suffer more because of the immature acts of other individuals. We feel that such "askonim" should realize the harm they do to others when they try to show that they have control over law enforcement officials. True askonim are supposed to help others.

Yes I was saying it from day one Steve Langert is no askan and why would he consider himself one? And HH how about the two supposedly victims that came forward in the name of askonim and rabonim

if he lies on his Financial documents and pushes a liquor licenses for his partner business

maybe he be better off in the IDF

In this vain why not call attention to the fact that if not for "askonim" intervening and supporting him all along, he would have gotten less than five years, if at all. Had he taken a plea just a week before the start of the trial, as apposed to 2 days into the trial.

For the life of me i cant understand the logic. Why is there so much more financial effort made for Jewish criminals then for regular Jews that need financial help? Eli W. gets arrested, and within a couple of hours he's out on half a million dollar bail, but you try to go to those same people (Rabbi) to ask for a small business loan, they won't even look at you.
Now this criminal gets calls made for special treatment in jail?! How many calls did these same "ass-konim" make for girls who weren't accepted into school yet?
