Is This Website Loshon Hora? By Avi Solomon

I love Herschel, but I have serious doubts about this[his]website. What is the purpose of this[his] website? Is it to expose corruption within our township government or is it focused on merely embarrassing and bashing Steve Langert? If Steve and Herschel made peace wouldn’t it be proper for both sides to ignore each other and not make public statements about each other.

I will admit that I agree with Herschel on many of his ideas and opposition to perceived corruption within the township. What I disagree with Herschel is his method. I believe this website is not the derech Hashem and I am publicly asking Herschel to do one of two things. Shut the site down or explain how this website does not constitute loshan hora.

I love Herschel and I know very few have as good a heart as him. Nevertheless, I think I speak for many in Lakewood when we say that we are just tired of this approach to fighting corruption. There has to be a better way!

Just saying it like it is Avi. The time has come for the people to know the truth. I would never discuss anyone's personal life. And I would never reveal something that would guarantee a fellow Jew a few years stay in a federal prison. But I will continue to criticize our so called leaders that are abusing their power and leaving the citizens of Lakewood to suffer in silence. There is so much that needs to get done and there are a few people on the committee, the school board, zoning, planning, and our own chief of police that care only about themselves, or their position, and will let the town fall apart as long as they get what they want. To remove these people we must shed light on their actions that effect us adversely.
And yes, the FACT that Steve Langert is such an "accomplished" Poker player is of concern to many people that would like to know if their representative is telling them the truth. He should take up chess.
Thank you Avi for once again showing your humanity and love of other Jews. And I am sorry if all this open talk about the issues going on in Lakewood is uncomfortable, but it has to get done. Trust me, I can't wait for the day when we can stop writing about this stuff. I'm getting tires. No, really, I need to get a new set of tires.

Avi, you are on the mark. Herschel, please at least ask a Sheila if you are allowed to continue in this vain. I agree with most what you feel, the problem is that the holy Chofetz Chaim wrote a book about the ills of speaking Loshon Horah. The question is, how do we go about getting the right message in he right manner

One mans wrongdoings doesn't justify you to make a chill up Hashem, you are closely loosing the battle Hashem made up the world and a after world where he judges everyone, you aren't in charge of that. Let him live and if you truly believe in Hashem you would leave it up to him.

HH, I think many people feel and agree the same as you. Everyone i talk to is frustrated and can't take the way things are going. But many also feel that what you are doing is also not the right way to do it.

I do not have the answer to what is the right way, so don't ask :-) all i am saying is there has to be a better way,

I agree with avi. Look at yourself and stop rationalizing. reread your mission statement closely. I think you have good intentions however you are way to negative. If you want to run do so on a platform for change. tell us HOW you will do better and convince us WHY we should vote for you.

Avi where do you live? This town is built on loshon hora! Just ask anyone in shidduchim or anyone applying to school or even business. All you hear all day in this town is about the builder that is a ganev and the lady with long nails. It is all justified by the words “TOELES“ Well this site has “TOELES” and mabe the genivas ha klal will stop.

don't stick up for mr.langert he is the most corrupt public official in the township.he is a mazik so i don't consider any thing about him is loshon hara.it's a public service.
