Mike Huckabee posted a tweet on Twitter that angered many religious leaders. Progressives, Consevatives, Catholics, Protestants, and Jewish religious leaders are all balking at Huckabee's latest statement regarding churches.

"It’s time for churches to reject tax exempt status completely; freedom is more important than government financial favors.
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) June 11, 2013"

His statement was regarding the legal requirement that religious organizations are not allowed to make political statements since they are tax exempt. Huckabee feels that churches have a moral obligation to influence politics to reflect Christian beliefs.

Religious organizations that endorse candidates or influence elections usually forego their tax exempt status for the simple reason that their endorsement may coerce a candidate to give special favors to them. Some feel that for this conflict of interest alone, religious organizations should pay taxes.

I agree with Mike Huckabee , most religions are just a business in my opinion .I have always felt I don't need organized religion to believe in GOD
