Someone Wants Silence - Jewish Blogs Threatened

An anonymous ad that was placed on a Jewish blog is confusing readers. Nobody is sure what the advertisement is referring to. It mentions tent city, and anti-Semitic juries. It asks that nobody speak to the media, and warns of chillul hashem while giving no explanation on how to prevent it other than by threatening advertisers on Jewish websites.

It says it is endorsed by gedolei Yisroel, yet has no signatures. If more information is needed there are phone numbers that can be called.

These attempts of silencing Jewish websites usually happen before a big revelation that certain people are afraid to have discussed publicly.

What the internet and its cult of anonymity do is to provide a blanket sort of immunity for anybody who wants to say anything about anybody else, and it would be difficult in this sense to think of a more morally deformed exploitation of the concept of free speech.

Who is richard berenstien? What a great comment. If you think about it that statement encapsulates much of what shmiras haloshon is all about. This blog should take note of such intelectual thought.

Reb Malkiel was inaugorated at the sium hashas as "here comes the chief", why isn't he the first signature? He should be the only Signature.
