It should be mentioned that the lawyer (Jeffrey Wild) does not represent everyone at Tent City, and not all of its residents are looking for a government handout.

Tent City is a non-governmental solution to the economic crisis, for which the government itself is largely responsible. It is built on the land that the government stole from the marketplace - one of the many things the government does that *multiply* the cost of housing for the poor. The fact that NJ is one of the most business-unfriendly states has a lot to do with the unemployment.

The government steals ("taxes") "in the name of the poor" the average of about $62,000 a year for each family below the poverty line. The welfare state is a racket! Tent City is a living example of how, in spite of the harshest conditions imaginable (in large part due to government harassment) the voluntary sector can accomplish a lot more with a lot less.

Tent City has made the area cleaner and safer than it would have been if TC hadn't existed, and it has saved the taxpayers millions!

Doewnt'l look like many people howed for this major documentary.....not a lot of interest maybe its time for them to pack the bage and leave. How many of the tent city residence have to be killed by the unsafe and hazardous conditions there until they themselves should close up for their own good! Stop blaming evryone lese for your problems get up and do something on your own. Get off the substance abuse and get control of yourself....

You seem to be functionally illiterate...

The documentary premiered to a packed house, and there will be many more screenings in the near future.

No one was ever killed at Tent City (except a run-away dog, brutally shot by the police).

I'm not "blaming everyone else" - I'm blaming the indisputable fact that the government is aggressing against Tent City.

No one was ever killed at Tent City (except a run-away dog, brutally shot by the police). The media often falsely attribute deaths outside of Tent City -- any homeless person anywhere in the area -- to our specific organization, which, in spite of government and media malice, is working hard to keep all of its residents safe.

I'm not "blaming everyone else" - I'm blaming the indisputable fact that the government is maliciously aggressing against Tent City! They should recognize that Tent City has helped hundreds of people and saved the tax payers millions, and just leave us alone!

Actually Chai we had a sold out show. All 300 seats full and unfortunately many had to be turned away at the door. Several more showings are being planned and we anticipate more full houses.

Society is realizing that helping a man while he's down instead of kicking him makes the whole machine run smoother.
