The Real Shidduch Crisis?

5/19/2013

Picture
A mother who is searching for a suitable match for her daughter bemoans the real crisis in finding a Shidduch in her days. She discusses the seemingly disproportionate number of boys that do not seem to be truly devoted to leading a Yeshiva lifestyle. She also writes about the focus on money over good manners when it comes to finding the right mate.
It seems that the problems we face today are not new

I'm not sure why you say A mother who is searching for a suitable match for her daughter bemoans the real crisis in finding a Shidduch "these days". This letter is from nearly forty years ago!

where else do these Bochurim learn these things? in Lakewood everything is money and politics. your average Kollel Yungerman lives in a Brand New Five Bedroom 3 Bathroom Home with all the Luxeries=Necesities That The Good old Modern American Subarban Life Style comes with with a Honda Oddysey and Toyota camry in his Driveway. The only people i see living a simple life style in Lakewood are the Goyim and Mexicans

Lakewood People are The most Pampered Individuals on the Face of this earth. A Baal Habos in Brooklyn would have to Be a Multi- Millionair to live The High Life, and Geshmake Comfortable, Gashmiusdika, Suburban American Lifestyle, most Lakewooders are Accostomed To.

Planet Lakewood, Where the spoiled Lazy Self Absorbed Suburbinite Americans Live who,s entire Day Revolves around ME ME ME and More ME And My Family and My House and My Car.Than They Go around talking how their Zeida, Rebbe , or Rosh Yeshiva was Moser Nefesh and went Through The Holocost so they Can Live with every Possible Concievable Luxury and Conveniance Known To Mankind and Some Goyim and Mexicans. and By The way If Your Light bulb Goes out remember to call Menashe Miller to change it, it is a Major Crisis for the Spoiled Lakewooders who have Nothing to do all day But wait for their HuD, Wic, Food Stamps, Jersey care, Chemed , Lcrc. Lpchi chi Ki KI pO WEE AND Paxil and Prozac

You sound way too farbisen at the world. I think you should pick up and maybe move to another community where there are not so many self centered lazy spoiled good for nothings who have nothing to do with their day living so close to a hardworking selfless person like yourself. (since reading this garbage and posting on it, shows that you have alot to do with your time...)

You have a point but on the flip side I live in a nice development (I work and rent) most of the home owners that live here are in yeshiva none of them are rosh yeshivas sons. So quit spreading bs
