The VAAD Endorses Christie-Don't Let That be A Reason Not To Vote For Him

There they all were sitting behind the great annointed one. The Teflon Governor. It seems that no matter how much legitimate criticism is foisted upon our Governor, nobody seems to care. Perhaps he is the best choice right now for our State, but has he really done all that needs to be done to help the average family in New Jersey during these hard economic times ? Ashbritt, the ARC tunnel, bailout of the Xanadu mall, are only a few examples of his sacrificing what is best for the most people, to favor a few.
And there he was standing in front of the paradigm of that selfish attitude, The VAAD. For all these years they had pretended to be looking out for what is best for their community, or at least for the needs of the Yeshiva. But then we find out that they are in it for themselves. Under the guise of working for us, they have allowed power plants to be built that may be harming our children right in our midst, accepted bribes for themselves and their organizations. Swindled widows, wasted millions of our money for useless public programs, and done little to help those that entrusted them to be our leaders.

The VAAD must know by now that their endorsement is meaningless. I am sure that Christie has seen the numbers in our community in all the last few elections. Perhaps the VAAD is hoping that by endorsing him their other endorsements will be followed as legitimate.

The irony of the entire charade is that a few years back half of those on that stage would have been indicted by the same man they are currently endorsing.

You think that Christie is dumb? He knows that the Vaad didn't endorse him, he knows that Lakewood voted for him anyways, he only wants more votes. This empowers him a great deal. It probably also tells him if he will win NJ in a Presendential election. That said, he went to Toras Aron as a thank you to the Mosdos for supporting him last time around. And I'm sure that Aron and Menashe were very busy and couldn't find the time to come. After all, this is Lakewood for a few hours, not Israel for a week!!!
