The Verrazano Narrows bridge which is currently 13 dollars to cross back into New Jersey is already the most t expensive bridge in the nation. Now the MTA wants to raise it another two dollars. People living in New Jersey and Staten Island will have no choice but to cough up 15 smackers every time they want to go on the less than marvelous Verrazano.
The Reason for the raised toll is obviously for much needed repairs claim MTA officials.
One commuter said. " I was already used to paying 13 dollars, I will gladly pay another two if it will keep me from falling into the river".
Bridges and roads in the USA are considered to be some of the worst of any civilized countries. Europe and Asia are much more advanced, and have superior infrastructure to that of the Unites States. Even Mexico currently has better roadways than our country.
