Who Needs Politics? By HH

The word Politics is derived from the Greek word Politika, or affairs of the state. But the best explanation of what politics really is comes from Political scientist Harold Lasswell, who defined politics as "who gets what, when, and how."

It seems that for the last ten years, and especially the last five, the WHO gets has gone from the taxpayers to the VAAD, SPECIAL INTERESTS, AND COMMITTEEMEN. The WHAT has become LAND AND MONEY, LOTS OF MONEY. WHEN has become so often that nothing else is able to get accomplished. And of course HOW has always been UNDER THE TABLE.

Now Steven Langert has taken the corruption to an entirely new level. Admitting that he is a developer, actively building town homes that he never disclosed publicly, while influencing the zoning board, and attempting to hide his involvement in said projects under shell corporations. His statement on the Radio when asked if he owned any properties was that he had always been open that he owned properties, yet only minutes before he was saying that we can't tell developers that they shouldn't be allowed to build without mentioning that he is a builder! 

I am once again publicly asking that Steven Langert resign due to his ongoing blatant conflicts of interest and actual illegal behavior. Yes I know, there is someone else on the committee just as bad as you. His face turned bright red when I mentioned public disclosure of investment properties if you are a committee member. The time has come to get rid of politics and for all the takers to get off the Committee and allow the town to be managed responsibly.
