The harsh weather of this past winter has left many of Lakewood's roads filled with dangerous potholes which cause costly damage and accidents. Most Lakewood residents traveling our roads acknowledge that it takes a lot of manpower and time for Lakewood’s DPW road dept. to assess and repair them. However, we are well into the month of May and many of us are still waiting to see these important repairs get done . Knowing how hard it is to keep up with the pothole repairs, I was shocked to find out this week that the DPW, by order of upper management has decided to dedicate an entire week, and all its manpower, to repave a tennis court in Pine Park, thereby delaying the work on our roads in desperate need of repairs.
Where is our township manager Steven Reinman going to play tennis this summer with his good friend Steve Langert? Once again we see those in power caring about their needs at the expense of the needs of the town.
