As predicted, a cold winter blast has taken over the east coast. Even Lakewood, famous for its milder winter temperature, is now struggling to get out of the teen temps during the day. And what has our township committee done about these dangerously low conditions? Absolutely nothing. Menashe Miller did not even offer a big flag to cover someone that is shivering. Did Lichtenstein or Coles make an announcement about what the Democratic Party plan on doing about the (ironically named) global warming above the Arctic Circle that is supposedly causing this chill? Did Meir and Menashe even take one helicoper ride to Alaska to see where the cold is coming from?Why didn't Langert offer to put Townhouses on the Arcric Circle(as a silent partner of course) to stop us from freezing while we try to go about our daily business? And where is Akerman hiding? Normally he would be bringing space heaters to anyone that complains. Now he is probably all cozy in his warm Mayor office on the Taxpayer dollar.
Which brings us to Bob Singer. In Thirty years he has done nothing to keep us warm and toasty. He gives all his friends hand Warmers and earmuffs while we get frost bitten.
I hope we can all work together to stay warm in the next few days. Hopefully we can work hard to find people that are dedicated public servants so our children can have a warm future.
Seriously, do your best to keep warm. Cover up and stay indoors as much as possible.
